Kelly Johnson is my hero. He's under 40, retired and helps the cops nail bad guys. Not a bad way to go.LaCosta's book is well done and a fun read. The descriptions of surfing are realistic and vivid. The plot twists are believable and the characters are interesting.
I highly recommend it.

Enjoyable to read. Well written and had a lot of local color. Looking forward to the next book by this author.
Thomas LaCosta has written a fun who-done-it with a very realistic main character and setting. I'll look forward to reading more in this mystery series set in a small surfing town. Nice cover art, too!
I live in the area the author is describing and I felt he was on the mark about the area. Loved the description of what it feels like to surf and learned something about the hi-tech working of computers. If you are interested in surfing, computers, and mysteries, this is a good, quick read.
